Terms of use

The terms on which this site is provided by the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Capacity Development, and the responsibilities that go with applying through it.

1. What this site is for

This site publishes information about the Agriculture, Digital and Business Development Skills Pilot Scheme, receives nominations for it, allows a nominating authority to countersign a nomination, gives participants access to their learning materials, and allows anyone to verify a certificate issued by the programme. Using it for any other purpose is not authorised.

2. There is no fee

No payment is required at any stage of this programme — not for a place, not for a form, not for a nomination, not for a certificate, and not for a faster decision. This site never asks for a card number, a bank account or a payment. Anyone who asks you for money in the name of this programme is acting without authority, and should be reported to the programme office.

3. Accuracy of what is published here

Information is published in good faith and is kept current. Dates for cohorts, venues and phases are indicative and remain subject to confirmation by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. Figures describing what the initiative has previously delivered are published only at the level the surviving records evidence, and the figures that are not published, together with the reason, are listed on the track record page.

Nothing on this site is an offer of a place, a guarantee of selection, or a promise of employment, income, equipment or a grant. Places, awards and enablement instruments are allocated on assessment against published criteria.

4. Your responsibilities when you apply

  • Give information that is true, complete and your own. A nomination containing false information may be rejected at any stage, and a place may be withdrawn.
  • Apply once, to one stream. Duplicate nominations are identified at verification and removed.
  • Name a nominating authority who can actually attest to your nomination, and give their correct contact details.
  • Keep your application reference. It is how your application is identified.
  • Do not apply on another person’s behalf without their knowledge; the form collects personal data that only that person can give.

5. Acceptable use

You must not attempt to gain access to any account, record or part of this system that is not yours; submit automated or bulk nominations; interfere with the availability of the service; upload anything harmful; or copy the personal data of other people from any page of this site. Access is logged, and misuse of a public programme’s records is a matter for the authorities.

6. Ownership of the material

The text, photographs, data and design of this site belong to the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Capacity Development unless otherwise stated. The seal and the wordmark of the Office, and the arms of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, may not be reproduced, adapted or used in any way that suggests endorsement, association or authority you do not have. Information published here may be quoted for reporting, research or public-interest purposes provided it is quoted accurately and attributed to the programme, and provided figures are not detached from the qualifications published with them.

7. Availability

The service is provided as it stands. It may be unavailable during maintenance or for reasons outside the Office’s control. Where a nomination window is affected by an outage, the window is extended rather than the applicant penalised.

8. Your personal data

How personal data is handled is set out in the privacy notice, which forms part of these terms.

9. Changes

These terms may be updated as the programme moves through its phases. The version in force is the one published on this page.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
