The Capacity Development Training Initiative
The training programme of the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Capacity Development, implemented under the supervision of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
It exists to move Nigerians from unemployment or subsistence work into productive, income-earning activity by way of short, practical, fully-funded training, followed by the equipment and the linkage that make the training usable.

Three offices, with distinct responsibilities, named so that a reviewer knows whom to ask.
Implementing office
Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Capacity Development
Designs the scheme, engages facilitators and providers, runs the nomination and selection process, holds the participant records, and is accountable for delivery. It is the data controller for every record this platform holds.
Supervising office
Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation
Supervises the scheme, confirms the delivery calendar and the venue, and receives reports throughout delivery together with a consolidated implementation report, independently audited, on completion.
Delivery
Institutions engaged in Nasarawa State
The pilot is designed to build on institutional capacity that already exists in the State rather than to duplicate it.
Agriculture stream
- The Nasarawa Agricultural Development Programme
- The State Ministry of Agriculture
- Agronomists, husbandry specialists and agribusiness practitioners engaged for the stream
- Registered cooperatives, through which nominations are received and clusters constituted
Digital and business streams
- The State Ministry of Science and Technology
- Accredited digital training providers, with technical support at the centre
- Enterprise practitioners and business development service providers
- Finance and regulatory resource persons drawn from the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria, the Bank of Industry and the State’s business support institutions

Where an organisation has been approached, or is contributing resource persons under a delivery arrangement, it is described as engaged. That distinction is deliberate, and it is applied to every name on this page.

What the initiative has delivered is published at the level the records evidence, together with an explicit statement of the figures that are not published and why.
Delivery calendar
The ten-day schedule, the enrolment date, the guided week online and the days at the centre are published in advance, and the venue is published as soon as the Supervising Office confirms it.
Data protection
The initiative processes the personal data of every nominee. How it does so, on what lawful basis, for how long, and how to object is set out in full.
The scheme is aligned with the Federal Government’s stated priorities of reducing unemployment, expanding food security and building a digitally capable workforce, and with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals — in particular Goal 2 (Zero Hunger), Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 5 (Gender Equality) and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
