Apply or nominate

This form replaces the paper nomination form. You fill it in yourself, and the person or office nominating you countersigns it by email. Both steps must be completed before a nomination is considered.

Who can apply

The pilot trains 1,500 people across all 13 Local Government Areas of Nasarawa State. You must live in Nasarawa State and hold a National Identification Number. At least 50% of places are held for women, young people and persons with disabilities, so those applications are actively encouraged.

What you need before you start

  • Your National Identification Number (NIN) — 11 digits.
  • Your date of birth and residential address.
  • A phone number we can reach you on. You will need it again to check your application.
  • For the nominating authority: their name, designation, organisation, phone number and email address. The email address must be one they read — the countersignature request is sent to it and the nomination stops until they answer.

An email address of your own is optional. Leaving it blank does not weaken your application; we will use your phone number instead.

Business Development

Business Development Skills

Priority is given to:

  • Priority to existing micro-enterprise operators, market traders and artisans with a trading activity
  • Cooperative members with a demonstrated business idea
  • Nominees not already selected for another stream, so that the 1,500 are 1,500 distinct individuals

How your information is handled

Everything you enter is processed under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 by the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Capacity Development. Your NIN is encrypted the moment it is stored, is never shown in full on any screen, and is used only to confirm that you are who you say you are.

You are asked for four separate permissions on the last step of the form. Two are required for a nomination to be processed at all; two are entirely optional and refusing them changes nothing about your application.
